DUMB SWAN

Cygnus olor

It lives in North and West Poland - in the lakes and in the Baltic Coast. Some swans, which are living in lakes, fly away in winter (Nov.-March). The second part (that, which are living near the sea) stay here during the winter and are fed by people. Many of that, which stay, are dying, because they froze or there isn't enough food for them.

My own observations of dumb swan I have done on the Patulskie Lake near Koscierzyna City. Swans aren't so afraid as double-pick ducks are, so it's easier to observe a swan, but when I was trying to come to it closer, it sank deeper in plants. On the photography below you can see "swan drying its fin"
